Audi has officially unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show the new Prologue Concept, a unique prototype that features a lot of SF technology. But Audi Technical Development director Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg said in a recent interview that the Prologue will be the shape of things to come.
More than that he said that the future models must have less physical controls such as buttons or switches. But Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg thinks that in the next future the car gadgets and utilites will be controlled by touchscreens and we won’t see any physical buttons.
“I think there will be one day where it is zero. I think the customer today is used to touchscreens. It’s not a problem for the customer to handle it”, he said with regard to how many physical buttons future cars must have.
