After market tuners Alpha-N Performance has managed to liberate a few more horses out of the stock BMW 435i and 435d which they claim to have achieved by tweaking the on-board software.
The begin with; the 435i now has 362 hp and 520 Nm on tap which marks a considerable improvement over the 302 hp and 400 Nm that the car develops in its standard form. This, the tuners stated has been achieved with the installation of the EVOX PowerPlus ECU tuning box.
Actual performance figures haven’t been revealed as yet though it should show a significant improvement over the 5.4 seconds that it takes to cover the zero to sixty-two miles journey.
Coming to the 435d, power figures post the tuning job gets boosted to 369 hp and 740 Nm of torque, up from the 308 hp and 630 Nm that the diesel coupe is rated at in its standard guise.
Again the actual performance figures have been kept under wraps though for reference, the coupe in its unaided state manages to reach the three figure speed mark from standstill in 4.7 seconds. Top speed for both the models in their stock form is electronically limited to 155mph and it’s not known if those have been enhanced as well.
Apart from a power boost, the other changes been introduced to the two coupes include the fitment of the Öhlins Road & Track coilover suspension that lowers the ride height by 25 mm. Alpha-N Performance is also recommending the fitment of a larger intercooler worth $753.
Also on offer from the tuner is a set of 19-inch OZ Racing Superturismo alloy wheels for the front 235/35 R19 tires and the rear 255/30 R19 tires with the complete set costing $2,511.
Alpha-N Performance has stated the engine tuning job will cost $763.
