Tuning specialists G-Power has come up with a custom tuning package targeting the BMW M6 Convertible. It is the Bi-Tronik 2 remapping that is being referred to here, one 4.4 liter twin turbo V8 engine so that so that the same is able to produce a massive 740 PS of max power and 975 Nm of torque.
Both the figure mark a healthy improvement over the stock figures of 560 PS of power and 680 Nm of torque that the engine churns out in its unaided state.
G-Power stated they worked on software optimization techniques to inflate the power ratings though that alone wasn’t enough. For some hardware changes were introduced which includes the fitment of a titanium exhaust that also brought along the twin benefit of weight reduction by 12 kilos compared to the standard cabriolet.
All of these efforts boil down to some impressive on-track performance figures – a 0-124mph dash covered in 10.7 seconds. Top speed is an equally impressive 186 mph.
G-Power is also offering 21-inch HURRICANE RR forged alloy wheels made of aircraft grade ultra-light weight aluminium.
