The Mercedes-AMG C63 Estate has turned out to be the latest subject of interest for the after-market tuning company Posaidon. And not surprisingly, the magic starts from under the hood.
To put things in a better perspective, the standard twin turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine benefits from the fitment of new turbochargers, new charge air cooling system as well as a sports exhaust system. Another unique aspect of the new sports exhaust system is that it has direct connections with the turbochargers besides also including ‘motorsport catalysts’ as well. The ECU too has been remapped with the net result of all these efforts being that the power output has been bumped to 690 hp and 890 Nm of peak torque.
This marks a healthy improvement over the 469 hp and 650 Nm of torque that the standard C63 has at its disposal or the 503 hp and 700 Nm of torque that the C63 S commands.
Transferring the power to the wheels is a seven-speed automatic transmission so that the estate is now able to make the 0-62 mph journey in 3.4 seconds before topping out at 213 mph.
